What's the system ? "Switching" and "Series Regulated (Linear)"

Switching System
The switching system model is a product of which the feature is compact and lightweight. It's easy to carry , and suitable for rack mount, because it is excellent in the mounting efficiency. However, it has some ripple noise on the output. This might be unsuitable according to the type of the loads.
Series Regulated (Linear) System
The series regulated (linear) system model is a product of which the feature has high stability and the low ripple noise. It's possible to correspond to all loads. However, its body is larger and heavier than the product of the switching method because of the transformer.
